a set of stone steps in the middle of a forest

Michael Skir (Wonmun)

My childhood was marked by fractures, attempts at healing, and an endless search for happiness.

I searched for it in places, in people, and in experiences.

Only later did I discover that it had never been there.

During my travels around the world, I was introduced to the Buddhist tea ceremony.

From that moment, I began walking the path of Zen.

For more than 12 years, I have practiced meditation in the Sōtō Zen tradition, with a focus on Shikantaza ("just sitting").
